Job Details

Our client, a leading and innovative manufacturing company, is looking for a Permanent Production Supervisor to join their team. This is a confidential position and your role will be pivotal to the success of our operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring that production runs smoothly, and that output meets the company's quality standards. This role requires a dynamic, results-oriented professional, who is committed to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the manufacturing process, ensuring that production schedules are met and that the output meets the required quality standards.
  • Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency, minimize waste, and drive continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain management team to ensure that materials and resources are available as needed, and that inventory is managed effectively.
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to plan and monitor the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other relevant quality and safety regulations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of production staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Analyze production data and prepare reports for senior management, highlighting any issues or opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Engineering and Quality Control, to address any production challenges and implement solutions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the manufacturing department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a production supervisory role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methods.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Experience with ISO standards and other relevant quality and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
